I had the exact same problem awhile ago. At times, both my horn and headlight were out at the same time. If I wiggled the large collection of wires coming from the headlight, both items would return to service. It turned out to be a loose & bad connection (one connecter) in the large plastic connecter under the tank. The arcing from the loose connection had fried the plastic, so I used a spare opening in the connector and everything works fine now.
